These products are used in many sectors of industry, where X-rays, electron radiation and nuclear applications are at issue.
The combination of casting and precision machining is a unique proposition: this enables us to manufacture lead parts with very close tolerances and complex shapes. Often this involves assembled products equipped with thread-inserts, sheet metal parts and finished with surface treatments, including wet paint processes and galvanic finishing.
We can make these parts in various lead alloys, usually lead alloyed with antimony. This increases the dimensional stability and mechanical strength substantially
The lead in this form is a very sustainable product because it is 100% recyclable. It has special features in terms of mass (density) resulting in the possibility of all kinds of radiation shielding (including all ionizing radiation) in a cost-effective way no other material will achieve.
